Alexander Lindgren advises clients on issues of financial regulation and compliance. Mr. Lindgren’s practice ranges from FinTech startups to private investment funds focusing on cryptocurrency trading, platforms and technology acquisitions. Besides counseling his clients on securities and investment regulation, company formation, and anti-money laundering compliance, Mr. Lindgren takes pride in developing a deeper understanding of the legal infrastructure related to Disseminated Ledger Technologies with his clients.

With an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Mr. Lindgren brings a technical view to his legal practice.  Drawing on his background as an entrepreneur, Mr. Lindgren regularly collaborates with companies and their executive team to develop their business strategy.  As part of this process, he guides his clients through the requirements and obligations applicable to their business, to help his clients to realize their visions safely and efficiently.

Reflecting his interest and focus in the blockchain and private fund area, Mr. Lindgren has written numerous publications regarding fintech and cryptocurrencies, including Rise of the Crypto Hedge Fund: Operational Issues and Best Practices for an Emergent Investment Industry, vol 23 Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance 112 (2018).

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Lindgren worked in pharmaceutical research and development, conducting clinical trials and pre-clinical drug development for Alzheimer’s disease and other chronic conditions. Mr. Lindgren went on to co-found several biotechnology startup companies. Besides his articles on blockchain legal issues, he has been published on subjects as diverse as oncological treatment methodology and California National Guard governance.

As a former consumer of legal services, inventor, and entrepreneur himself, Mr. Lindgren’s practical background and experience gives him particular insight into the needs and challenges of new companies and emerging markets.
