Philip Wolf is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on corporate, partnership, and international taxation, as well as tax aspects surrounding the formation and operation of private investment funds, and M&A transactions. Philip also resolves tax issues confronting FinTech companies.
Prior to joining Belcher, Smolen & Van Loo, Philip worked as a tax controversies attorney on a wide range of federal, international, state and local tax issues. Philip previously interned for both the M&A Tax Department of KPMG and the BDO Transfer Pricing Team. He is licensed to practice law in California and before the Tax Court.
Philip is currently enrolled in the NYU Law Tax LL.M. Executive Program. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law with a formal concentration in Taxation and his bachelors degree from the University of California, Berkeley with High Honors (Phi Beta Kappa). He is fluent in Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, and Catalan and conversational in several other languages.
